How about any credit cards with expired dates - that too can trigger this error.   Unfortunately the error message is generic, it may be that it's just a system glitch at that point in time.  As we are a member to member help group, we don't have the resources to pin down a route cause.  Just toss out some suggestions that have helped others.   You can wait a bit and retry, but before doing so, refresh your web browser by deleting the cookies, temp files and history.  Then close the browser, reopen and retry.   You can also try using a different web browser or computer is possible.   If the issue continues, all you can do is follow-up with customer support.  You can contact them via email, phone or through Twitter @AskPayPal or via Private Message on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PayPal ... Please keep in mind that the community forum is a member to member help group - we do not have customer support capabilities. Unfortunately we don't have enough info so all we can do is speculate.  For example, is your account setup properly meaning your email address is confirmed and your PayPal Account is verified?  Have you been able to receive funds previously to this?  On the sender's end, did they tell you what the status of the transaction is - pending, unclaimed, etc.?   Just guessing here but, if you did not receive an email notification that someone sent you funds then it's possible your account is not setup properly.  That's where customer support comes in as they can check these things out for you.  If one method of contact didn't get a response, you have options - email, phone, Twitter @AskPayPal or via Private Message on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PayPal ... Unfortunately have not provided enough information.  All we can do is speculate as to what you have in mind.  Assuming you have a US PayPal Account and some sort of prepaid card, it can only be used for Sending Money or Purchases.  There's no options or features to move funds from a prepaid card to your Account Balance unless the card is a GreenDot MoneyPak.  In addition, there's no direct path to bank accounts other than through your PayPal Account Balance. ... Unfortunately there can be various reasons - a system glitch, an expired credit card, an unverified account, etc.  As this is a member to member help group, we do not have customer support capabilities.  All we can do is speculate as to the reason.    Before you try contacting customer support, here's a few suggestions you can do yourself:   Delete your web browser's cookies, temp files and history.  Then close your web browser, reopen it and retry.   Another option is try a different web browser or if possible another computer.   Also ensure that what ever web browser you're using, it's the latest version.   If you're still experiencing the issue after trying the above suggestions, then contact customer support for additional assistance. ...
