USING DEBIT CARD AS BACK UP... INSUFFICIENT FUNDS.

Hi,

i was wondering  if i could purchase something (on ebay) when the price exceeds my paypal balance. I have an active debit card (the one i signed up with).

Will paypal take the rest of the money off of my debit card?

i do not have a bank accout (i.e. not verified).

so, can i still purchase the item?

Thanks in advance Smiley Happy

Hi ness,

Yes... PayPal will take the rest from your linked debit card.

Thanks. I thought I'd never get an answer.lol

This isn't a debit card linked to a bank account, just a walmart debit card. (i don't know if that makes a difference?)

ness,

As long as the card accepts the charge, it shouldn't be a problem.  Smiley Happy

It should accept the charge. I just wanted to make sure before I purchased something, that I'd be able to pay the seller. The card is one of those reloadable debit cards from walmart. I've been using them for a few years now because I don't want a bank account yet.

When i use my paypal account to purchase from Walmart there is a note that says something like  "if you do not have sufficient funds in you paypal account, your credit card you signed up with will be charged".

I've just never seen that statement  while shopping on ebay.
