One of my email addresses no longer exists and I have a pending payment How can I claim the funds?

My old business email address was cancelled and I had an eBay sale 3 days ago where the buyer paid to the old email address. I had removed it prior to beginning the auction but never changed the preference on eBay. How can I claim my funds?

If you still have access to that email account, login to your PayPal account and "Add" the email address to your PayPal account profile. The payment will show up right after you confirm the email address.

If you do not have access to that email address, you will need to ask the buyer to cancel the payment and resend the payment to your correct email address. Send the buyer a PayPal invoice (Request Money) from your PayPal account to make it easier for the buyer to pay.

Paying from the PayPal "Request Money" invoice may make the payment not eligible for PayPal or eBay Buyer Protection. If the buyer is uncomfortable with that possibility, you can cancel the eBay transaction and relist using your correct PayPal email address, with either a BIN (Buy It Now) price equal to the buyer's winning bid amount or the "Best Offer" option. This will enable the buyer to buy the item and use eBay checkout to send payment to your correct PayPal email address.

The following link explains how to cancel an eBay transaction...

For future eBay listings, make sure you have the correct PayPal email address in the payments section of each listing... here's a screen shot of that section of the eBay "Sell Your Item" form...
