I can't pay with my Visa card.

I see others are having trouble paying with Visa debit or gift cards.  Mine is a regular Visa card, but I'm still getting a "Cannot process your request at this time" message.  I didn't have this problem yesterday.

I have the same problem. I get the "We were not able to process your payment" error and it's driving me insane! I had tried to pay for 11 ebay items together with PayPal, and one item, as well as a donation to the MJFF went through, but the others did not. I tried them again, together, apart, nothing will work. It doesn't seem to matter whether I attempt to group them all together and pay multiple sellers, group items from one seller, or only pay for one item at a time: nothing is working.

I finally resorted to paying via e-check which takes days to clear. That went through as a pending payment, but who knows if when it's done processing it will actually pay my sellers or not? 😞 Help is greatly appreciated.. Thank you for your time!

PS: If I put funds from my bank account into my PayPal wallet, could that help me pay for my items? Also, if i put funds into my wallet, is there any way to transfer them back to my bank account again? Thanks. Btw, I can't use the direct-from-my-bank payment option because I don't have a backup credit card.

No, I haven't gotten any help yet. :<

Also, I forgot to add, I'm using a MASTERCARD debit.. so if the errors we're all having are the same, it might not be limited to Visas.

UPDATE!!

I may have found a way to pay. On the first page where you log in to PayPal to complete your payment, do NOT log in. Instead, go down to the third option something like "pay with credit/debit". This option does not make you log in to PayPal. Select it and re-enter your information (it can be the same information as your PayPal account's).
On the next page, you may get a prompt saying that the information entered matches a PayPal account -- do NOT log in. Continue with your payment and it should go through.

By paying in this way, I have been able to complete my orders, and received paypal receipts at the email address I entered.. however, the balance has not been deducted from my debit account yet! I'm pretty confident it will work though. Good luck guys, let me know if this worked for you or you need more help.

I have same problem,i have called them three times today,,first time just been told that is an internal security sistem ,whic operates automaticaly,that it has stopped my card for some reason,and whic an operater cannot see apparenty,he aslo told me that because of thst he can not do an ioveride ,, i haave called again later and a lady answered to may phone call ,similar thing ,but shegave me advice to delete cookies on my operating browser,and to try again later durring the day ,whic i tried and it did not work,so , i called third time,and explained to the me that is third time i call by phone(from Bosnia),and same story,but he told me that is someone with that system whic operates automaticaly,that a someone could help,and he also told me that a will receive a phone call from the person who is with Pay Pal on this issue ,,in the mind time me waiting for that phone call ,i've tried an option  offered by that man where says do not log in and proceed ,it did not work,,,when speak with a person who should give me a phone call at my home here, ,it will be an update...
