Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them! Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds, not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

I just realised today that they were holding my funds for 21 days. It's been a while since I sold on ebay.
I have been a member of ebay since 2001 and a paypal member since 2002-ish. I am a verified premier member, with credit cards and bank accounts to back my funds up. My ebay proifle has over 170 positive feedbacks (100% positive), I have had very few disputes (maybe 3?) out of the hudreds of items I have sold.
So why hold payments? What is the purpose? and since when is it the responsibility of a payment company to make sure I am a good seller on ebay?
I just find it funny that they hold the payments of a guy who has 30X the amount of credit necessary to cover the payments, as well as more than enough to cover the payments in my linked bank account?
Very dissapointed in this business move.

What do you expect? These guys are taking lessons from the moron in the White House I.E. Spread the wealth as long as it's their direction and use any deceptive means necessary. The Machiavellian principle in full operation.

Let's keep politics out of this forum and keep focused on what's important ~ the evil eBay and PayPal empires!

We're here to talk about Ebay/PayPal not the current occupant of the White House. What planet are you living on anyway?

I agree completey ~ politics should be kept out of this forum. I do get a little riled up when someone calls our President a "moron." No administration is perfect and we (as Americans and humans) have differences of opinions regarding politics (and many other items).
As somone else wrote ~ "stay angry people" (about eBay and PayPal)!

lkboop1675, let's keep political views out of this discussion. This is a serious problem for ebay sellers who try to provide great customer service to buyersand we now find that ebay and paypal have no regard for us as good sellers. This is a ridiculous policy and we need to stay focused on this subject to make an impact.
Thanks

Heh and those of us dotcom people who DO NOT sell on ebay at all and deliver our products via a phone call or email cuz they're past life readings are **bleep**ed.
unless we mail our phone calls or emails via ups. Heh. Not on your LIFE, payUNpal
I already ditched paypal and am going through google checkout. Much better and no hassles like this.

I agree that every atempt to focus on the task at hand should be the goal. Try. It is taking all my effort not to respond as well. Pay Pal and eBay need to be the recepients of our attention. There is a law firm taking them on for class action suit.
You can find it on letssuepaypal(dot) com.
My thought also is that our time on this site is probably limited. In that lies the proverbial 2 edged sword, one side we will not be able to communicate at a known spot, side 2, they will not have their team monitoring us and knowing what info we garner and spoon feed to them. Google is a good alternative and TRUST amongst us is another, choose ethical sellers, use cashier checks, personal checks, alternate payment venues!

I agree this paypal 21 day hold is bs. I have been selling on ebay for over 10 years and have 100% feedback, i sell seasonal items that usually only sell end of summer till end of Feb. Now because i haven't been selling enough in the past few months they review my account and put this 21 day hold bs on my account. THis has crippled my business and now i cannot operate and because i don't sell enough which is basically what they are saying i now have to go through this hold bs again this is the second year in a row they have placed this on my account, due to the slow down during the summer in my business. So when business picks up i have no way of shipping my customers product, and i have been **bleep**ed by their 21 day hold because customers don't leave feedback right away and my items are to big to ship with any of paypals shipping services and when i add tracking info from my freight carriers paypal employees are to incompetent to be able to track the items so i am out the funds for quite some time. ALSO PAYPAL IS DISCRIMINATING AGAINST PEOPLE BASICALLY THAT DON'T SELL ENOUGH OR DO ENOUGH BUSINESS CONSTANTLY WITH THEM, WE SHOULD ALL FILE A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST PAYPAL AND EBAY FOR BEING A MONOPOLY OR FOR DISCRIMINATION. PLAIN AND SIMPLE PAYPAL IS USING YOUR MONEY AND MAKING INTEREST ON YOUR MONEY AND WE ARE BEING **bleep**ED BY THE SYSTEM.

Ditto from me. If you are serious about joining a lawsuit, look at letssuepaypal.com I believe it is. The law firm listed has a class action suit started and I also believe they will take new additions.
Good luck!
