HORRIBLE IDEA TO HOLD FUNDS FOR 21 DAYS!!!

Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them!  Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds, not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

I won't waste time repeating what others have written.  But I will begin to look for other options than PayPal.  Why should PayPal arbitrarily get a 21 day float on my money?  **bleep** you.

Yea, but not for 21 days.  Nor do they make their release of MY money dependent on someone else giving me "positive" feedback!  Again, **bleep** you.

Maybe we should all go to the local Wal-Mart, take what we want, tell them we'll pay them (maybe in 21 days, maybe in 6 months) after we try it, us it, maybe break it! After all, the largest online payment processor PAYPAL allows it, so it must be the right thing to do?Smiley Surprised

After years of using paypal & having a 100% feedback, they have now anounced they will hold funds for 21 days, this is robbery. I will not be receiving funds for anything else I sell throuhgh Paypal ever again...I see this as stealing my money

Funds are usually released with 72 hours of the D/C showing delivery OR the buyer leaves feedback.

I agree that the fund holding is horrible. It claims to "protect us all". Bah. It protects the buyer, and not us. Why is that? Paypal I swear is the worst for payments via paypal.com.  I hate that they do this, and do it randomly.  I do believe that there is something against the law on this, and I am having it researched.  Not even checks at a bank are held that long.....

They did same thing to me and I have never had a buyer dispute or anything and I have 100 % positive feedback, they just keep getting worse and if I can find another site that offers merchant services then thats what I am going to do. I called and they could not give me a descent answer to why they did it, it is garbage that I have to send items before funds are released to me.
