HORRIBLE IDEA TO HOLD FUNDS FOR 21 DAYS!!!

  Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them!  Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds,not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

I want in as well. this is ridiculus. Buyer pays shipping fees which go into the paypal account for our use to ship an item and now the money is on hold and I have to use other funds to pay the shipping cost while paypal takes their fees and holds my funds. I have 0 negative feedback as well and there are no good reasons why the funds should be held.  I have accounts set up for paypal to withdraw funds if needed.  This bomb was just dropped on my a day ago after selling a few items on ebay.

These holds wouldn't be nearly as bad if they actually functioned the way Paypal claims they will. I have a hold on a payment for an item that delivery confirmation shows was delivered 10 days ago! Not sure why these holds have come into play, but surely, it has nothing to do with the vast amounts of interest Paypal could acrue by simply holding other peoples money in there accounts for almost an entire month. If there truly is to be a lawsuit I would gladly support such a cause in anyway I can. It is ridiculous for companies, like this, to think they can get away with nonsense like this.

Include me. I am glad that someone is taking a stance on this. I find that this is absolutely ridiculous to have to wait for your money. I just spoke to an associate that told me that I have done nothing to warrant a hold on my account even though I have 100% feedback rating. As far as I see it you are guilty till proven innocent with paypal. Where's the incentive for the seller??

I had a hold placed back in September even though I am an established seller and 100 percent rating and no problems ,If there was I settled with the buyer so they was satisfied,I just ignored it well in Oct. they sent me a letter saying the hold was lifted and could access my money immediately, Just made a sell and guess what they are still holding my money,I get no help from their website just automated e-mails from their India customer service people,,count me in

I too do not believe that this is in the best interests of the organization.

I will be finding a different funding option for sure, or I will be discontinuing the use of Ebay all together.  They will show short term gains and won't realize the reality of removing the very customers who built their company for them until it is too late.

We, the ebay originals, will go and find other organizations to do business with where they are small enough not to be greedy yet!

Shame on you ebay and Paypal, shame on you.

When was this idiotic hold my money rule put into place????  This is complete BS.  I sold stuff to help me pay my rent which is do no later than the 5th and I have to wait until the 9th or later????? W.T.F.  @paypal.  Paypal is not ebay.  How can they pretend that they have the right to hold my money?  I am a customer not a *bleep*ing dependent.  I am petitioning ebay to offer another interchangeable money service.  *bleep* U paypal.
