HORRIBLE IDEA TO HOLD FUNDS FOR 21 DAYS!!!

  Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them!  Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds,not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

YEAH im ready to boycott. Of course they will let you get the shipping money out when its on hold,Because eBay and paypal work together. Then act like they have no idea what the other is doing. Their partners in crime. 

They want you to pay higher prices for shipping because it benefits them. I ship some of my small items in envalopes with Forever stamps because its the most cost effective way. But they want me to spend extra money for tracking numbers now. On a item thats worth 1.99 i will be paying money to give them the item, Which is EXACTLY what they want to happen.

Ebay says i can sell 100 items or $5000 dollars. LIE LIE LIE i can LIST 100 free then they charge me for every listing AFTER even if it doesn't sell.

Then after selling no problem still with with eBay and 100% feedback PAYPAL says i need to upgrade my account. And the only way to do so is to sign up for there Scam of a credit card $5 each use Or 1% of each transaction is robbery. 

Its all about eBay and paypal being greedy! BOYCOTT NOW!

paypal / ebay payment hold is taking food out of my kids mouths...if you don't ship in a timely fashion you are penalized...double jepordy!!!! has anyone spoke to a lawyer ??  seems like this is unfair business practice,fraud,and making money on our money...class action anyone ?

I sure don't understand Paypal, I have been a member of Paypal & Ebay for years. I used to get instant payment then it went to a waiting period. Then I went to instant payment and then I got an email saying I had to wait again for up to 21 days. Two days later I got an email that said I could receive instant payments again. So I sold some items and I'll be dammed I got to wait to get my funds. I have a perfect rating, always ship quickly and enter all tracking information. Needless to say I'm a little fed up with Paypal. so what gives?

I'm so angry about this crap. I wouldn't  mind if my funds were held for 1 day or 2. Waiting weeks for my money to be available to me? That is INSANE! I need my money now!!! We already have to pay paypal and ebay fees.

I know what you mean. It's been like 14 days and I still haven't received my money. It says pending everyday... It **bleep** 😞 So what do I do if it goes past the 30 days? Or should I wait that long?

I hate to tell you but there is nothing you can do except get out of ebay. There is another auction site that is much better. You can use paypal anywhere. Its not really paypal doing this it is ebay. They purchased paypal. So now they think they can do anything they want. It is only going to get worse. I sold on ebay for 11 yrs. granted i was not a business but a simple homemaker selling some things around the house to make extra bread & butter money. Greed has taken over ebay.

Good luck! If you want a desent auction site. go to ebid.net. Selling maybe slow but so was ebay when they started.

My buyer paid for the item, I shipped it Freight, showed it as shipped both on Ebay and Paypal, gave them the tracking numer and yet they have held my money for 19 days waiting on 21.  I sold the item on the 13th of October 2011 and the buyer had the Piano in posessoin within the week.

Their web site says that if you input the inforamation I provided that your funds would be available immediately which apparantly a blatant lie.

I have heard many people say that they provided all of the information as well and that their money was held for at least 21 days as is my case since I supposedly will get them on the 3rd of November 2011.

This is unacceptable and un-professional.  It is my contention that they keep peoples money just long enough to draw interest from the money.  This appears fraudulent to me but who am I to figure all that out.

All I know is if you are like me, you need your money, expecialy when the buyer has the product in hand for weeks.  Even the buyer told me this has happened to him many times.  He even tried to call and tell him that he had the merchandise in hand and it meant nothing to the people at PayPal.

My account is in disaray and now they want me to send more and more information to prove who I am such as social secuity number, proof of addres and an Identificatoin with photo.  That was three weeks ago.  What, do they just have one person working their to update accounts.

I even tried to make my account a business account so I cuould add my husband to the account and they changed it to a non-profit account and again asked for a myriad of various documents.  When told by email and phone that we are not a non-profit, they said they would change the account and lift the hold on my account.  It's been over a week and no change.  My account is still locked up.  I am at their mercy with them holding my $2500.

If this has happened to you, please post it so that people can beware of PayPals rotten business practices and just how they treat the people that make their livelyhood.  They make multi-millions if not billions of dollars at our expense and laugh all the way to the bank and it's time this type of fraud stops.  I need my money and I need it now!
