Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them! Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds, not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

Paypal -ebay has been slowly releasing my money, I guess fromm feedback, but I would
have made a lot more if I could have kept selling.
I am on disabitlly retirement and its not enough to make it through the month, so its always
which bill should I pay? haha. I don't have credit cards either. So I have to rely on getting
my money out when I need it.
That is the hard part, ebay is so well known and used. I went to onlineauction.com but it
was too expensive for me to join. I wish you luck!

Have a look at eBid...it"s free to list and their fee scales are much less than eBay. They don't quite have the user base yet, and they won't until more of us say enough and make the switch.
I already have and I use GunPal instead of PayPal... You can send or receive $$ from anyone with an email address, way cheaper, more secure, they don't play satisfaction police and they even donate a portion of their fee to the charity of your choice. The name stems from their beginning as a PayPal-type agency that became popular on gunbroker -dot-com as an alternative to PayPal ...PayPal and eBay are both anti-gun (anti-2nd amendment constitutional right ...which equates to anti-american) so legal, law-abiding firearm enthusiasts could buy and sell guns, parts, and ammo through licensed dealers and in accordance with federal laws, in an eBay-like forum....PayPal tried to enforce thieir anti-american viewpoints by prohibiting all legal transactions associated with guns...guess they thought they were above the law...they were wrong and lost tons of business

Great, I'll check them out, but wont PayPal still require a hold on funds? Have to see what they have to offer in the meantime back to eBay and PayPal - more of us need to speak out and I am going to contact the FCC and my state representatives and we all should.. Isn't there something about fair business practice? This is a monopoly that needs to get decent competition or get broken up like AT &T was years ago.. Customer service is horrid to non-existent, they require us to only use PayPal and not money orders and checks and they not only take their piece of our sales but now have the use of our money for 21 days. How about all the bad buyers (oh, I forgot, it is only bad sellers that they need to worry about ) that will buy our items, say there is a problem, get their money back and then won't send our items back, that is what I am afraid of. The FCC needs to look at all these demands that eBay and PayPal are forcing on its real customers - its sellers and do something about these questionable new practices.
check them out. But won't PayPal still require a hold? Have to see.

HAVE ANY OF YOU THOUGHT ABOUT ARTFIRE? THEY LET YOU SELL ITEMS THAT ARE NOT HANDMADE. THE YOUNG MAN, JOHN JACOBS HAS REALLY PUT A LOT OF TIME INTO MAKING SETTING UP A SITE VERY EASY. IT IS VERY INEXPENSIVE, IF YOU ONLY LIST A FEW ITEMS, IT'S FREE. HE'S WORKED SEVERAL YRS ON GETTING THIS TOGETHER SO PEOPLE COULD AFFORD TO SELL ON THE INTERNET. I WILL CHECK OUT THE GOOGLE PAYMENT SERVICES. I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THEM. I'M JUST GETTING TIRED OF ALL OF IT. I CAN'T LEAVE FEEDBACK UNTIL I REC AN ITEM I BUY. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT FEEDBACK A SELLER CAN LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. IF THEY HOLD THE SHIP MONEY IN CASE THE PRODUCT IS NOT AS ADVERTISED, WHY AM I SITTING HERE WITH OVER $100. IN MERCHANDISE THAT WAS NOT AS ADVERTISED. AFTER PAYING FOR SHIP 2 WAYS I''D END UP WITH ALMOST NOTHING. THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT THE BUYER OR SELLER. NOW, YOU CAN'T EVEN CALL THEM.

Any hold is not protection but thieft by deception IMO. I pay for an item on ebay. The item Im informed within a few minits of auction end is not available. They refund my money . PayPal decides to put a hold on my funds. WHY!? Becuase you earn an intrest even off thew smallest hold amount that endsup being a nice lump sum at the end of each quarter. I will finish my transactions and close my PP&Ebay and join the band wagon to let everyone know of your thieft and try to get an honest online auction house and banking system.
