Hi

As a first time seller, I am lost. Ebay says paypal is processing the payment. My paypal account doesn't show a thing. What is happening?

Ebay says the buyer paid on March 24th, and today is March 28th. PayPal doesn't show anything had happened from 20 til today.

Welcome to the boards!

Have you recently changed your email address on your PayPal account? In most instances, the root of this issue is that the auction form that was filled out included a misspelled or outdated email address.

You can check to see what email address was used by bringing up one of the items and clicking on "Sell Similar." Check the payments section and note the email address there.

If you still have access to this email address, add and confirm it on your PayPal account to accept the payments. This has to be done within 30 days of the payments being made or they are automatically returned.

If you don't have access to this email address, you'll want to ask your buyers to cancel their payments so that they can manually send it to your new email address via the Send Money tab. Make sure you reach out to them and let them know what to do, and provide them your new email address. You may want to ask for theirs if you are sending them a money request via PayPal to help facilitate the new payment.

Hope this helps,

Adrian

Ktorzinha"s  question could be mine..same thing only my buyer paid notification was March 23rd a day earlier than hers. I did recently change my email address. I have talked with someone at eBay and pay pal to make sure I made the changes correctly. They both said yes the new address did go through. Still haven't seen the money posted. I saw Adrian's answer so I did what he said. The new email address is there. However I pulled up the notification of payment that was sent to me. It did come to the new address but in rereading it..it says from "the old email address" to the "new email address" and the message says "Hello (old email address), This confirms that you have received payment."  I am really confused... when I call pay pal or eBay they do not see the old email address at all... Last week was my 1st sale and I am so excited to be an eBay seller and I want to do things correctly but I don't know what to do now. I am selling something else tomorrow and I don't know what to do. Help someone please!! I love the way we can share with each other.

If I follow Adrian's suggestion in his last paragraph---I am confused with the last sentence

Thank you someone in advance

gramasusu,

When you have the buyer pay you, if and only if you are sending them a new invoice through PayPal (rather than eBay), you would want to ask what their email address is.  This is because when you use the "Request Money" feature, you need to know their email address.

Thank you..that is how I will have to do it until we get the paypal issue fixed.

Hi gramasusu

You can look for the email address where the payment was sent to in your eBay account. Just go to your "My eBay" dashboard and go under "Sold" - look for the item and try to relist it (Sell One Like This). Now go down the "Decide How You'd Like To Get Paid" section and you will see the email address where the payment was sent to.

Now add that email to your profile and confirm it. The money should be there on your PayPal balance after you counted 1-10.

Hope this helps! Smiley Happy
