I processed a refund with my bank account but it looks like the echeck won't clear.. I didn't get the funds in the bank account quick enough..DOH! I have the amount to be refunded in my paypal avail balance now.. can I stop the bank transfer and just use my avail balance? If not, what happens and the echeck does not clear

Hi revobasher. Welcome to the community forums and to our chat!

If you've managed to get those funds into the bank in time, then the eCheck will come through when the charge is presented the second time, which is an automatic process that happens within a few days. If the second presentment occurs and the funds are still unavailable, the eCheck will fail. You can always re-initiate the refund again after that using the funds in your balance instead.

Thanks for bringing your question to our chat. Let us know if you have any more questions! Stick around for the conversation starter question, too!

If I print postage through PayPal after I receive payment for an order, is that postage supposed to be the same as if I took the package to the Post Office? It's not.

neumannu47-  Hey, welcome to the Community Chat!  Lemme try and answer that question for you 🙂

Our rates actually should be a tad lower than normal USPS postage.  There was an...issue...recently where our rates weren't cooperating and were matching or in some cases a little higher.  But that appears to have been solved.  So I have two questions: Is the rate higher than the post office (I'm assuming here, otherwise if it was lower, you probably wouldn't question that ;)) and when did you purchase the label?

Postage for 3 ounces for a large First Class envelope is $1.28. When I started to print a PayPal label a week ago, it was more than $1.50. I don't remember the exact price.

Yeah neumann47, that was about when the reports stopped trickling in, so you may have caught the tail end of that situation.  It should be fixed going forward, but if you find that it's not you can either post here (well, not here exactly, this will be closed :)), or call our customer service and we'll get the engineers to look into it some more.  Sorry for the trouble.

It would be convenient to print from PayPal, but not if the cost is higher.

PayPal and eBay shipping use the Package rate for First Class Mail... First Class Envelope rates are not available.
