Linking debit card issues

I am trying to link my new debit card to my PayPal account but every time I try I keep getting an error message or it won’t link to the account this has now been going on for three weeks I can’t use my account I’m stuck! I keep ringing PayPal nobody is helping me and I’m getting a different story each time nobody knows how to sort it out!!! I’ve been now told tonight that it’s an update issue but they still haven’t linked my card with the account.. I just want my card linked so I can use my account I’ve been loyal to PayPal since 2007… I have been promised call backs from managers but nobody has bothered to call back… I’m three weeks in and am unable to do anything and getting no where at all.. I’m fed up as I’m getting the run around and nobody is helping me it’s one excuse after another all I want is my card linking to my account

Try clearing cache/history and then waiting 72 hours before trying to link it again.

Also if its a card from an account previously added could you edit and update it rather than add it as new?

Is the billing address the same as your paypal account address?

Does the card have funds available for the confirmation process?

Is it a physical banks card and not a virtual/digital bank?

How do I find the cache to clear and it’s not a virtual bank it’s barcleys and I have funds in the bank as well

@Tinkie1, welcome! I can understand it can be a bit frustrating running into road-blocks like this when trying to link your card. I'd recommend trying the steps in this Help Center article to stat: Why can't I link a credit or debit card to my PayPal account?

Having trouble linking my debit card to my PayPal account? PayPal won’t help me? They put the phone down on me! I just keep getting excuses.. I’ve cleared the cache tried linking the card but I’m getting different excuses each time I ring to sort it out I’m not getting any help from them they don’t know how to sort it all I want is to link my card to the account please can anyone help I’ve tried everything to get it sorted !!!

Sorry I cleared the cache, it’s linked to a true bank account it’s a barcleys debit card.. it’s not an internet bank… I’m sorry I lost the link I’m not sure what other info you need… I just keep getting a stale mate
