How do I link my US bank to PayPal??

I've been trying for more than a month to link my Bank to PayPal. I have left countless messages in the message center, but PayPal responses never seem to work. Why hasn't PayPal called me, like they're supposed to?? Is this how they treat potential customers?? Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong??

You’ll need customer service’s help to link US Bank. Make sure it’s a US bank account that has a routing number.
