Can’t Find Code In Bank Statement

Hi I’m trying to confirm my card to enable me send payments over $250. I requested the code and was debited the $1.95. However when the description showed up in my bank statement, there were a lot more numbers than 4 digits. How do I identify which of the numbers is the 4 digit Code needed? I don’t wish to keep guessing and have my account locked or something. Thank you!

How do I confirm my credit or debit card with PayPal?

If a “Confirm Card” link appears next to your card details, you’ll need to confirm this debit or credit card before you can use it with PayPal. This step helps to make sure that the card is valid and belongs to you.

This charge and a 4-digit PayPal code will appear on your card statement within 2-3 business days. If you request the PayPal code more than once, you’ll find more than 1 charge on your card statement. You need to use the latest code that you've requested.

If you don’t have access to your card statements online, you can check for the code when you receive your next statement in the mail.

If you can’t find your PayPal code, you can request a new one to be resent. A new PayPal code may be requested up to 3 times.

Here's how to finish confirming your card with your 4-digit PayPal code from a web browser:

1. Go to your Wallet.
2. Click the card you want to confirm.
3. Enter the 4-digit code and click Confirm.

After you confirm your card, we’ll immediately refund the charge. Your card issuer will credit your balance within 30 days of the refund date.

Hi. Yes these are the steps I followed but like I mentioned in my original post, all I get in the transaction description is WEB Pur @ [removed]. And I’ve tried the [removed] and it wasn’t it.

Can I mention that you have opened a business account. This is pointless in your country of Nigeria as you don't have the option to receive paypal payments.

You can only send payments for purchases and it has to be funded by a credit visa, so is that the card you are trying to add?

Thank you. Unfortunately I wasn’t aware of the country restrictions before opening the business account. I am trying to link a Dollar Debit Card (Mastercard). Do I simply try and open an individual account? Will that allow me to send payments upwards of a thousand Dollars?

You can only add a credit visa card in your country for purchases as I have already mentioned?

To downgrade your account to a personal account you would need to contact customer services.
