I have a website that allows customers to pay for services via their credit/debit card using PayPal.  However, some cards are getting declined with the following message: We're sorry, but we weren't able to add this card. Try again later or add a different card."  I have tried using my own cards and I get the same error.  However, not all transactions are being rejected in this way.  Any ideas?  I believe this is not an uncommon problem.

We have been having this issue non stop this month (September 2022) and are not getting anywhere with PayPal's customer support.  It's absolutely ridiculous that so many people are having this same problem and they are putting it on us to figure out.  We haven't been getting paid by our clients because they literally can not make a payment on our website. Might be time to find another payment platform.

We are also having this issue, our developer has said it is a PayPal issue, so reported it to customer services, they said it is a technical issue and to submit a ticket. did not have any response so submitted multiple tickets; the technical team then said it was a customer service issue and to contact them. going round in circles. is anyone still having this issue (October 2022) losing multiple customers and business because of this PayPal issue!

I gave up waiting for PayPal to sort themselves out and have switched to a different payment provider.  I no longer have a problem with customers trying to pay me for goods and services!!
