Can't confirm VISA Debit card in Wallet because bank statements don't show confirmation code

I can't confirm my VISA Debit card in my wallet because my bank statements don't show a confirmation code. How do I sort this out?

Also, have PayPal been taking £1 from my bank account every month since I added this card to my account last year? Can I get that money back? This is very worrying. TIA.
