Bank link not working

I have confirmed my bank account, but it is still on "checking" and there are no options to do anything.

I'm sorry to know that you are facing issues while linking the bank account with PayPal account.

Thank you for your post. The information given by @Aarc123 may be helpful, but I also wanted to set your mind at ease about the fact that your bank is labeled as "checking". The bank will always be listed as checking because that's the type of the bank, not the status. A checking account is a day-to-day transaction-based account, as opposed to a savings account, which is for long-term saving of funds.
