I recently got sent 40 dollars from an art commision im doing for my friend and i noticed the money was on hold for up to 21 days. This hasnt happened before with a payment i got a few days before which gave me the money immediately. I tried to fix it but nothing worked, although i noticed paypal thinks im trying to ship something to the person who sent me the money.

Is there any way to fix this?

Well you are selling if you are providing art services for your friend surely so they paid using the correct option.

As they paid using the goods / services option then you would be subject to the new seller hold as per links.

If they had paid using the friends / family option then the hold would not apply BUT be careful using that option as it is only to be used for someone sending you a gift of money. Paypal review these payments regularly and if they think you are using that option to bypass paying a fee or having a hold you risk account limitation.
