Users not able to make payments via PayPal. Message pops up: "There was an issue with PayPal. Try again or use a different payment option,"

You have a U.S registered business account so can you confirm that its the correct country and account type?

Yes - our company and bank account are based. We have done the trail runs on debit/credit for small amounts further we made a small purchasing transaction -- it all went fine. But yet again -- the account of Paypal shows disconnected and it's so so hard to contact/connect with them.
