Seller sent out a cancelled order

I cancelled an order through PayPal and it was refunded. The seller sent me the item anyway (shipped 2 days later). They now say I can return it but will have to pay shipping costs and it came from China. I've been hassled and have just repeated that it was their mistake and I'll return it if they pay postage. I'm getting really fed up now, but seem unable to get help from PayPal because it's already been refunded.

If your refund has cleared then not your problem.

You can state they either send you a shipping label or they won't get the item back again.
