Paypal for international payments from nepal

I understand the option to receive Paypal payments is still not available in Nepal but am I still able to receive payments on my paypal account from my online freelancing work in fiver and upwork? Is it still usable as a digital wallet for purchases and such transactions?

Yes. Buy/Send only.

So you mean others cannot send money to my paypal wallet? Not to a nepalese bank.

To view the services available in your country, go to the PayPal website, click the flag at the bottom of the page, and then click 'See all countries.' In the drop down menu, select your country to see what services we offer.

what is the reason that we cannot receive money in nepal through paypal? NRB is willing to revise any policies if they have been hindering this possibility.
