New Policy Updates Aug 23

I've just read through the ultra-complex new Pay Pal policy, several times.

Although it appears there is no charge for a standard UK to UK domestic purchase via debit card (yet) it looks like they will be charging a fee for foreign purchases, currency conversion and any payments to me.

Furthermore there's a £9 fee for "account inactivity" - surely that itself counts as activity?

There will be further delays and penalties if you want to close the account after September

I didn't sign up for this - I want to close my account NOW, does anyone else feel this way? 😠

Dear esteemed advisor,

Is it just me who thinks that the policy (as it is currently worded) seems unfair to 'ordinary' people who just use Paypal to pay a vendor who's only accepted form of payment is through PayPal?

Please can you clarify the following details of the policy applying to a UK personal customer:

1) Under what circumstances would I be charged for a UK-UK domestic purchase?

2) Under the new policy how much MORE will I be charged for a purchase a) from the US, b) from China, than currently?

3) What are the thresholds that determine 'account inactivity'?

4) Can the 'account inactivity' charge be avoided by logging on to my Paypal account for instance?

Kind Regards
