My underage children have made PayPal accounts without me knowing.

I recently found out that my kids have had PayPal accounts but aren't of age. I want the accounts shut down but not with them losing the money they earned. How do I get their money into my own verified PayPal account and have their accounts deleted? I believe 1 is locked due to suspicious activity (underage) while the second just wasn't able to verify. Is there no way at all to recover their money?

Paypal does not allow account holders under the age of 18.

PayPal asks for a birth date when they register so whilst they can make a PayPal account with false information the account will need to be verified to accept funds into the balance or lift any limits.

As they would be unable to verify the account would be permanently locked for further use at some point.

They would never be able to use that illegally opened underage account again but once 18 Paypal may allow them to do a withdrawal of funds from that account or allow them to open a new account and transfer the funds across. However you could ask customer services if they will transfer the funds to you?
