Inability to withdraw money using a friend's bank account

So I'm currently in Cameroon but a friend of mine in the US created a PayPal account for me in my name so I could be using for my remote work. So usually when I receive money in the account he has been linking his bank account and withdrawing the money successfully and sending to me in Cameroon. However, since I submitted my form w-8 to confirm my foreign status, when he tries to link his bank account to withdraw money now, he's being asked to verify his ID. How can we resolve this issue so he can continue withdrawing the money as he's been doing please?

The name on the bank account has to match the name on the paypal account to be able to continue using a bank account for withdrawing funds.

But he has been using the bank account before to withdraw money successfully, why is he being to verify just now?

He has been lucky. I am surprised that account hasn't been permanently limited yet.

I see. So normally it's not possible to link a bank account with a different name to another and withdraw funds from there?

Normally its not possible (and its against paypal rules) to open a paypal account for someone else who does not live in the same country as the paypal account is registered.

Paypal are requesting verification and I.D because they suspect something is amiss I guess.
