If my eBay order was cancelled, and I used PayPal credit, will I get a FULL refund?

Hello PayPal Community!

I've been searching for hours now to find an answer to my question and haven't had any luck. Hopefully someone here can answer it for me.

I recently purchased a Playstation 5 on eBay. For this transaction, I opted to use my PayPal Credit account since my balance was $0.00.

Well, the seller informed me today that the box has been damaged and was thoughtful enough to ask me if I wanted to cancel the order. Since it's a gift for my kids, I'm considering taking him up on the offer. Plus, who knows how the box got damaged so much that the seller would think I may not want it. It could be that it's broken, so I'd rather not go ahead with the purchase since it's a Christmas gift.

However, I don't want to cancel the order and also have to pay this interest charge. In a perfect world, I would think that all would be refunded, but I really wanted to make sure before going ahead with the refund process.

So, can anyone tell me what will happen if/when the seller cancels the order? Will the whole transaction just go away, interest and all?

Thanks so much for your help!
