Can I ask for a refund for a preorder via a dispute?

So I have a question. I ordered something about 2 weeks ago, with shipping slated for March. However, being completely honest I found the same items cheaper elsewhere. Yes It would be a pre-order there as well, but anyhow. Now I asked for my placed order to be cancelled. This was 10 days ago, and I have yet to hear anything or see any refunds being made. Would I be successful in filing a dispute?

Hi @Temp20240124i,
Thank you for your post and welcome back to the Community Forum! That is a great question. Our Buyer Protection does not typically cover a change of mind. If you bought something but changed your intent and want to get your money back, you need to contact the seller and ask them to cancel the purchase. If the payment has already been completed, inquire about the return policy or request a refund. I hope this helps further.
