pp account number or sort not recognized

Hello

Im trying to add money to PP from my bank. Bank keeps saying PPaccount number or sort code is wrong. They are defo not wrong, I checked many times.

Any ideas?

As you haven't added your country to your profile (so we can see when we hover over your username) or said in your post which country you are in so unfortunately its hard for us to advise.
Paypal varies a great deal country to country so you need to tell us where you are on this worldwide community forum.

ok so when you go to your papal account and hit the transfer money > add funds option > are you using the details in option 2?

If so then it should go through ok.

However you don't need funds in your balance as a buyer as paypal will auto take from any linked and confirmed bank account or debit/credit card at the time of purchase.

Thanks very much for your replies. Yes copied exactly those details in option 2 and bank says are wrong.

Anyways, i just found a small transaction i made using PP a couple of weeks ago, its now showing on bank statement.

This means that both my bank and PP are now successfully connected and communicating so i guess im sorted for now.

Weird though PP balance never changed from zero and under 'recent activity' a notification of minus that amount sat there

and i'm thinking i'm effectively in the red with PP, which was a bit concerning.

Its all a lot clearer now though, thanks very much youve been a great help.

Did you confirm your bank account after adding it as per link?
