If I paid for a "goods a services" item and received it and everything is fine by me can I confirm receipt but still dispute if something happens where it is defective? The seller said their funds are on hold and were asking if I could do this.  I only worry because it says this when going to confirm:

By Confirming the order, you acknowledge you have received the item(s) and are satisfied with the condition.
Please note, you may not able to raise a dispute against this order and the funds will be settled with the seller.

And it is a $1000 game related gift so it is not being opened right away.

Hello @spyder17,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!

I understand your concern about the payment hold and buyer protection. Please note that once you have confirmed the receipt, the funds will be released to the seller. If you purchase an item using PayPal, and the item received differs significantly from the original listing, you are covered under the Buyer Protection Policy and should be able to report the transaction via Resolution Center even though you have confirmed the receipt. For more information on the Buyer Protection Policy offered by PayPal, please review this help center article.

I hope this information helps,

Ayesha
