Why does Paypal converts € to $ and back when I use an € card in EU e-shop, that charges € ?

Why do I pay a conversion fee, while I pay with a Euro credit card in German shop, that charges Euro ? Next time this happens you lose a client.

I completely understand your concern about the currency conversion. When you make a payment that requires a currency conversion, we calculate the conversion rate and you'll see the rate when you make your payment. If you’re using a card, you can choose your card issuer's exchange rate instead of ours. However, your card issuer determines the rate so we won’t be able to display it to you.
