Why can I send US$ from Canada on computer but not on iPhone?

Hi,
I think this is just the way it is, but just in case I'm overlooking a setting...
I can choose the bank account and currency when sending money on the computer but not the phone, forcing me to pay PayPal currency exchange fees, correct? 

I have CDN and US$ bank accounts and credit cards attached to the account.

Welcome to the community and thank you for your post!

 

That's strange that you are seeing different options on your devices. The features of your PayPal account would not change no matter what device you are using. It may be that you are choose different banks/cards.

 

When you add a bank account to your PayPal account, it is automatically set in the local currency that your PayPal account is registered in. For example if your PayPal account is registered in Canada, then your bank account currency would be set to Canadian Dollars. This cannot be changed. 

 

If you have a debit/credit card on your account, the currency of this can be updated. If you want to change the currency of your card to USD for example, all you need to do is contact our customer support. This can be done by clicking here

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for responding. I went and double checked that I wasn't losing my mind. Sure enough, five options (3 US$ & 2CDN$) on the computer, and one seemingly unchangeable account on the phone. I don't want to permanently change the phone option to US$, as I send both.

Thanks for your response. Although I have a US$ balance and the did delete and install the latest version, my phone is still saying this. I'll reach out one day. Alex
