Hi, my son transferred some money to me - why was I charged a fee by PayPal? I thought it would not cost me anything. I am not a seller! I was not selling anything to anyone. That money was just funds returned to me for a loan. Thanks in advance, my PayPal community!

As you don't have the friends/family option in your country then all payments you receive go as payments for goods/services and so you pay a fee.
Maybe look into xoom and see if that would be better for you in your country?
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
