Unable to withdraw money to my Ukrainian debit card

Hello, I tried 4 times to withdraw money to my debit card and always got a message that 'Right now, we’re not able to transfer the funds to your bank'. I tried it next day and got the same message. What was the problem? I withdrew money before this way without this problem. I had to send money to my relative in UK and she transfered it to my Ukrainian card without problems. But I lost some amount on additional currency conversions this way. And I found no way to ask a PayPal customer support by email about this issue. I am very disappointed by such service.

Hello @rubux,

Welcome to our community forum and thank you for your post!

Sorry to hear that you're not able to withdraw from your PayPal account. It is entirely possible that you could be running into our security system. To provide one of the safest online payment services our internal security system reviews every transaction before it's approved. I recommend you to try again at a later date by clearing your cache and cookies from your internet browser or try to use a different internet browser/device.

I hope this works!

From your reply it is still unclear what was the problem.

My country Ukraine is at harsh war, I am not sure if I survive another day. And all "support" I got from PayPal is a pointless reply on community forum 4 days after my post. It's disgusting.

Hi @rubux,

Thank you for your post. I'm sorry that the previous answer was not satisfactory, and I definitely understand the desperation you must be feeling, especially in your current situation.

The capabilities of an account vary from country to country based on guidelines present in that country among other things. In some countries, withdrawal to a Visa card is an option. Is the card a Visa branded card? Can it be recognized as a credit card, or only a debit card? Those are two factors that might come into play in a withdrawal situation. If the withdrawal was permitted before but not now, it's possible that there may have been an error previously that allowed it, or that the card initially allowed itself to be recognized as a credit card and did not on a subsequent attempt.

Failing that, it may be as @PayPal_Bindu suggested. The security system may determine that some element of the money movement has a risk characteristic that would cause the need for a decline.

If the issue continues, I regret that a different withdrawal method may have to be employed.

I hope this helps clarify, and I regret that I could not offer a better solution.

Olivia

You do NOT understand what Ukrainians go through! In addition to that, PayPal did this complication for me and no one is able to explain clearly what happened. Where is your "support"? Why do I have to ask questions on community forum?

It was a Mastercard debit card which worked fine for withdrawals from PayPal before and it works fine now for different purposes. My Ukrainian bank works normally desite of problems with electricity in all Ukraine territory. PayPal is NOT able to work normally despite there is no war in your country. Shame on you, PayPal!
