I am from Malaysia which isn't on the list as per the link below.. But I am still not able to make payments or send money to friends using Paypal balance. Why is that?
Hi, thank you for clarifying... I don't get an error message.. Even after confirming my personal details on Paypal, after setting Paypal balance as my preferred way to make a payment, when I try to pay or send out money to friends, the option to pay with Paypal balance does not appear 😞 The only option available to me is my credit card. I have been looking up so many FAQs and could find no useful help to me.
Hi, I'm having this issue as well. I have funds in my Paypal balance in Malaysian Ringgit. I wanted to use this to pay for Twitch subscriptions but the option to pay with balance doesn't appear. It charged my card instead in the end. Same issue when attempting on other services like Ko-Fi.
Are the funds in your balance in the correct currency that the person you are sending them to accepts?
My paypal balance are in MYR and there was no option for me to convert the money to USD. My friend, kofi payments, Paypal invoices all accept USD. So maybe that is why?? I already transferred all the money in RM back into my bank acc and closed the currency... So hopefully that will allow me to use Paypal balance to pay then...

What does this refer to? 😮 since there isnt an option for me to use Paypal balance at all.. it is neither. But if i use my credit card to send money or pay, it always go through.
Have you marked them as the primary currency for the transaction you want to do?
I just marked USD as the primary currency, but the option didnt pop up still. Maybe because my Paypal balance is in MYR and not USD? Do I need to have paypal balance in USD for the option to pop up??
