The company refunded £50 but paypal only refunded me £41.69 why is this?

PayPal only refunded me £41.69 even though I got an email mail from the company to say they had refunded me £50 Why did this happen?

Was there a currency conversion involved in the transaction? Refunds issued beyond 24 hours of payment date may refund at a lesser value if currency conversion involved.
