Funds are not “taken” initially but authorized and put on hold until payment status becomes posted/completed. These holds eventually expire on their own and drops off if there’s no order for merchant to capture funds with or merchant doesn’t capture payment on a successful authorization. If the holds last longer than 30 days, contact paypal or your funding source (bank acct or card issuer) to void the authorization.
If you notice duplicated “posted/completed” transactions, go to the transactions at PayPal, click duplicate transaction to open it and click “Report a problem”. Then click “I have a billing issue” and after that, choose “Duplicate transaction” option and follow the prompts.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
