ON HOLD Problem (I am not a seller)

I have a problem with the Paypal. I think Paypal considers this payment is about selling product. That's why it demanded to enter shipping tracking info. I clicked that "Tracking information is not required" and submitted. But after that I got this notification "You have successfully updated shipment information. You’ll get your money within 1 day of delivery." I am giving service not selling any products. This is the first payment I get via Paypal. When can I get my payment? Does this issue repeat again?

You are a seller nevertheless, just for services instead of physical items.

 

Click Add tracking info (or Edit tracking info) button and select “Order Processed” if selling services or virtual items. Then ask sender to confirm receipt 48 hrs from payment date.

 

If sender ignores your request, you’ll have to wait until after 21 days for PayPal to release funds. Yes, it will repeat until PayPal determines you are an established seller.

 

The hold occurs when:

 

- sender forgets to choose appropriate transaction type

- sender cannot send a friends and family payment, only goods and services payment

- immediate release amount has been exceeded for the month

- your account is new at receiving goods and services payments

- haven’t received payments in a long time or unusual activity for your account

- because PayPal detects high value or highly risky transactions

- change in products/services being sold

- received numerous complaints, disputes from customers or other users

The sender says the process is complete in his side. And it has been 2 days and the payment has not been released yet. Is it clear that Paypal will give my money after 21 days? If I contact to the customer service, can they solve this?

 I am sorry to know about the payment hold on your account. I know how important it is to have funds at the right time. PayPal may place a hold on funds for a variety of reasons, but you may have options to help release the funds sooner than the standard 21 days hold time. If you do not update the tracking ID on your PayPal or if the sender has not confirmed the receipt, the payment would be released after 21 days.
