New account. I get an error message whenever I try to transfer from my bank to my PayPal balance.

Hey everyone! I created my PayPal account on March 24th and had my card and bank successfully verified on March 28th. This past Saturday on April 1st, I decided I wanted to transfer money from my bank over to my PayPal balance using the app to ensure I had enough money to pay for an art commission I’m interested in. But whenever I attempt to add funds to my PayPal, I get an error message saying “There’s a problem. Right now, we’re not able to complete this transaction.” I cleared my browser cache, tried using a new browser, and even tried using my computer (which wouldn’t even load the transfer page) and it still would show the error message. I got in contact with support via Twitter, and a rep said that Internal Security probably flagged my transfer as a “security risk” and I should wait 48-72 hours for it to clear before trying to transfer again. I’ve had yet to make a purchase or transfer with PayPal, and I’m wondering why exactly it would be a security risk? My account has been verified and accepted my Bank account and debit card. I don’t know what else to do. Thank you!

It seems that you could be experiencing one of our security measures, these are usually only temporary. I would try again and if it still persists, I would suggest you disconnect from your Internet provider and after 60 seconds reconnect as it might have something to do with the IP address allocated by your Internet provider. Please make sure you are logging from a secure location and avoid using any VPN’s or Proxy Servers. If you are logging in from a different country than the country where the account was created this may also block the account and the telephone number would be with a different country prefix. If the issue still persists you may have to contact our Customer Support by phone.
