Money went to wrong account

I send money to my son monthly Today it went to someone by the same name but not him how do I recall the $300

I am glad to help you today. I would like to inform you that once the payment gets initiated we will not get an option to cancel or reverse the payment. I am requesting you check the payment status if the stats are marked as completed, you can contact the recipient and request the refund or you can contact your financial institution and try to file a claim on that wrong payment.

The person accessed their account but can’t send the funds back because it says it is under dispute? I found out the account was an old one for my son and I want him to have the $300 but he can’t retrieve them or return them because account is marked as under dispute. The resolution centre says there are no current disputes?????

Thank you for your reply! I can imagine how frustrating this has been for you. If the recipient says that there is a dispute on the payment but you do not see one, this will require account-specific investigation. Please reach out to Customer Service to request help. You can click Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website for contact options. Alternatively, you can also reach out on social media by sending a direct private message via Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
