How to send money so the recipient does not get charged? I tried to send money to a person n jpy yen, but they were charged, so they did to receive the correct amount of money on their end. I did not see the option to send as a friend or family member?
The below is what I receved from the person I was trying to send him money in jpy yen.
Hi Ric, You made a mistake. As I explained, You need to select currency as Japanese yen and then select Gift Family and Friends (F&F) If payment is made as per my instructions I get the exact amount I quoted. I do not mark up what I order but sell at my cost if I do not get the exact amount I quote I lose money. It is ¥408 short. Cheers Simon

Its against Paypal rules to accept a family / friends payment for selling goods and they are risking their Paypal account being limited by doing so.
Also you would lose all buyer protection as you would basically be sending a 'gift' of money.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
