Hello,

Despite hours on the phone with customer support, there has been no solution. So i have started this Post.

A friend sent me money through Venmo. However the money ended up going through paypal and i was charged a Fee. I therefore issued a refund in attempt to reverse the fee. However the money is now stuck in Limbo and pay pal says it can take 6 days. Furthermore Paypal says the fee is not reversible.  Why is this happening when paypal was never involved from the begining i have a screen shot of the transaction sent to prove venmo was used and not pay pal. I asked pay pal to make this right and they refuse. See Pic. Thank you for your help.

PayPal is involved. Venmo in relation to PayPal is a business sales tool not for personal use (ie. Venmo users who want to pay you for goods and services, can with their Venmo account) so such payments are treated as commercial payments upon receipt on the PayPal side thus a fee is charged therefore are not refunded per PayPal policy.

Why people not believe PayPal when they are told the truth, I do not know.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
