There has been a great deal of discussion about recent changes to the shipping platform. I want you to know that your feedback is very important to us! 

 

We'll be consolidating all of the feedback into this thread so it can be reviewed more easily. On-topic and productive feedback is always helpful, and I look forward to seeing further discussion in this thread.

Have posted about this on a few threads. After hours of frustration, spanning a couple of days, the ONLY way I could get to the proper "Print Label" option, was to close our browser - open Firefox - immediately go to "Tools" and select "Start Private Browsing" - log in to PayPal, and click on the "Print shipping label" button next to customer's name.

 

Meanwhile, my customers have not all been notified that we have received their orders, and we are almost 2 days behind on shipping, and our frustration level had reached an all-time high.Has PayPal been hijacked?

 

ENOUGH, PayPal! Fix it, please! For every post that is here, on the Community pages, there must be hundreds of people who are stymied, trying to deal with this on their own - who do NOT know that others are having the same problem.

 

We trust you with our financial information - could you not trust us to tell you when there is a problem, and check into it? Subsequently sending out a blanket email, stating that you are aware of the problem, and have resolved it - would help.

Many of your users have wasted hours of their lives, trying to get around the shipping changes.

Thanks for nothing, ebay.  Going to check out other options out there.  I would be willing to pay for them rather than waste my time and labels.  Why wasn't an email (at least!) sent out to customers detailing the changes with FAQ and troubleshooting?  They lost my trust long ago as I'm no longer an ebay seller but now I have to go through them to ship?!  Won't do it.

Would really like to know if this "takeover" is legitimate. Despite some searching, cannot discern that. Should we not have received some time of prior notice, if there was a sitewide change? Sometimes we get the regular shipping options, sometimes we get the ebay and PayPal combined one. Very confusing, very disturbing.

 

What has happened to the print labels options on PayPal?

This is ridiculous.

The Paypal shipping actually worked and saved a lot of time.

This eBay shipping won't even work correctly with my thermal printer and I have to print on regular paper now.

 

This change is a pain as we do at least 25 orders daily and I can't be on the computer all day.

I agree! Please, put the old shipping back! It was so easy, and it worked perfectly. This new one takes longer, you can't enter accurate weight just a "range" for international stuff, no more email note to buyers and is way clunkier. I loved the old one - so easy.

 

Is there a way to switch back?

I found a work around, but even that is a pain!

If you use the Paypal multi order shipping tool, it is somewhat the old version of shipping.

The only drawback is that you can only use this for US shipments only.

 

Another thing, I find that the multi order shipping does not work all that great, when importing orders and such. It doesn't bring all the information and I find that most of it is just N/A and a waste so, I created a CSV file and imported the information that way.

 

With that, I can print labels for my US customers, but without any information linking back to the transaction.

It also takes a little bit of work in excel as well. 😞

 

Paypal and eBay you need to let your customers know when you are making changes.

I called Paypal who then transferred me to eBay, in which they said we are all in this together meaning they don't know what is going on either.

 

It's a shame really. Shouldn't fix what isn't broken.

I suggest we all email them a list of all the problems - and a plea for the old version!

I completely agree! I used to be able to only log into Paypal to check on each label I printed to find the address associated with each label incase there was an issue and now it says eBay shipping and no address for tracking at all! I have to do an extra step and log into ebay and seach for it one by one each item! WHAT?! It was easy to know on a certain date which label prints according to Paypal history search, but what good does it do now to search when you are going to get THE SAME RESULT each item!

Big surprise this morning when I went to ship as normal using paypal shipping.  It's now been taken over by ebays own shipping service.  Perhaps it has some advantages, but to me it is even more annoying with repeated logins and such to print a simple label.  Would have been nice had someone mentioned this might be coming. 

 

It's confusing as well - the invoice shows that shipping is "Free" or paid by buyer so the totals don't match up to the regular paypal invoice.   Why do these big companies always feel they have to mess with something that works?
