Trying to cancel upcoming payments...

Here's the situation: For this year's "voluntary" donation to my children's school, the sum was $1,600. As opposed to paying it all at once, I chose the option of them hitting my Visa, via PayPal, for four consecutive months. Two of those months have passed, but instead of making the next two payments, I'm paying them via check through another account. When I asked them to stop the next two payments, they said it was something I needed to do through PayPal. Yet when I go to the "My pending payments" tab, it doesn't show any scheduled upcoming payments.

Is there any way I can simply block these transactions (the next one will happe in about a week)?

If not, I'm just going to remove my Visa from the site, so they presumably can't grab the cash, but I'd rather not do that if I don't have to.

thanks for any advice!!

Welcome to the boards!

It sounds like this is a subscription.  Here's how to cancel it:

Log in go to Profile > My Preapproved Payments.  Find the subscription and click on Cancel.  Then click on Cancel Profile to finish it off.

If you run into issues cancelling it, just let PayPal know and they can cancel it for you.

Hope this helps,

Adrian
