Hi
I have just sent some money to my daughters paypal account to help pay for some tuition fees and now my daughters account is restricted and she is unable to do anything until she has jumped through a dozen hoops. Why has paypal done this? The account was fine just a second before the transfer.
Thanks
Simon

Hi siyoung, and welcome to the forums!
I'm sorry to hear your daughter is encountering difficulty. PayPal takes the safety of your money very seriously, and uses a number of sophisticated security models to examine payments. While any payment may be scrutinized at any time, there are some characteristics that are bound to cause additional scrutiny. When there's new behavior on an account that is different from the norm, the system perks up to make sure everything's the way it's supposed to be. Your daughter has likely been asked to provide identity-confirming information.
I hope this helps!
Olivia
