Can't Pay Through Ebay

I have never had a problem with Paypal up until now. Last night I brought 2 items from2 different buyers on Ebay, went through the paying process and when it was processing my payment after signing into paypal and filling in all the needed informaiton I was then told the payment didn't work and therefore would not go through.

Please explain to me what is going on, the the items are christmas presents and I would like to get them before postage gets difficult nearer Christmas. 

I left it for 24 hours and tried again only 10 minutes ago and is still not working.

Hi! Did you get any resolution to this as the same has happened to me? The problem is that ebay aren't too interested as the issue is with paypal and its so bloody hard to navigate your way around the paypal site to fnd an answer!
