Hey guys, this is a pretty old paypal account. I'm unverified and since I do not plan on sending vast sums of currency anywhere, I do not want to get verified. I am fine with the lack of this additional security measure.

I have only ever transferred like $20 on this account several years ago. Now, I am looking to be active again and would like to make a transfer to my roomate. It's only $12 I'm trying to transfer so I do not see how this should be a problem. I have tried this multiple times over the past few days and am also greeted with the same error message:

"We can’t send your payment right now. If you keep running into this issue, please contact PayPal."

This is quite frustrating, especially since there is no indication or details concerning why the payment is unable to be sent. Is it a problem with my account? Is it a technical error on Paypal's end? Is it my roomate's account? I have tried this on multiple browsers, I've cleared my cookies, I've tried sending multiple values ($12.50, $11.50, $12.25 etc.), and I've even had my roomate send me a payment request, and just tried to pay that. Nope.

Please, any advice in resolving this is appreciated.

Verifying is a paypal requirement and not a choice.

So normally if you try and send funds from your balance but you don't have either a bank account or card linked then they will tell you to add one or contact customer services to provide verification.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

That is very curious. When I click the linl that says "how much money can I send witbout being verified" it says $700 a month is the limit for unverified users. What does this mean then?
