Payment to friend using a credit card.

I tried to find an answer in FAQs, but nothing seems to fit. I asked via message centre, got an answer showing lots of FAQs that are irrelevant.

If I make a payment to a friend using a Credit Card ,   I know I have to pay a fee.   What I need to know please, is :  Does the transaction go to my card issuer as a 'Purchase', or a 'Cash withdrawal transaction' ?   I have asked the card issuer... they cannot tell me.  Anyone that has done this please, who can answer my query?

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

As the payment is being processed through PayPal it should appear as a purchase on your card statement. Cash withdrawal should only appear if you withdraw money from an ATM using your credit card.
