PayPal/eBay Sort this out!!

eBay payments when 3d secure authentication is required is not working, paypal gives a generic error webpage, with message, Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later

my friends have tried it and getting same error, nothing to do with their accounts, location, ip, device etc, its a paypal error. others are having this problem too. this is NOT an account issue, its due to a paypal error,

I believe it coincides with the foreign exchange rate error alot of people are reporting (as they are getting same generic error)

this needs investigating ASAP - this is not a run of the mill "call a customer service agent" issue. it needs to be looked at by whoever is in charge of the coding of paypal and ebay

For the last few days I have also been unable to pay for anything on ebay.co.uk (both via the paypal log-in or the "card payment" system which is also handled by paypal). 

The message says: "Sorry, this payment option isn't available". 

I have tried different credit cards, asked other people to attempt to buy the item on their accounts, tried different browsers, clearing cache/cookies etc.

The ebay customer services told me it was Paypal's problem, not theirs. Paypal website seems to suggest that there is no customer services available at the moment? 

downdetector.co.uk and downdetector.com both show a heap of complaints about paypal, the UK reports are exclusively issues with sending payments. 

This is a big pain - there is no other payment option for a lot of ebay items!

I don't think the issue has been completely sorted as I've been getting the same error message - "payment option not available" - for the past few days!!

I've tried using the android app as well as my latop, all my different payment options (using my bank account and card) - I've even tried purchasing by topping up my paypal account and it still doesn't work!!

It's really starting to pee me off!!!

I'm in the UK by the way.

How did you resolve this??
