For the last few days I have also been unable to pay for anything on ebay.co.uk (both via the paypal log-in or the "card payment" system which is also handled by paypal). The message says: "Sorry, this payment option isn't available". I have tried different credit cards, asked other people to attempt to buy the item on their accounts, tried different browsers, clearing cache/cookies etc. The ebay customer services told me it was Paypal's problem, not theirs. Paypal website seems to suggest that there is no customer services available at the moment? downdetector.co.uk and downdetector.com both show a heap of complaints about paypal, the UK reports are exclusively issues with sending payments. This is a big pain - there is no other payment option for a lot of ebay items! - S
