My Payment Apparently On Hold? But shows Complete

Hi,

I've just bought some things off a guy from Reddit. I paid via goods and service and it cleared my side fine. He text me just after stating that the funds were being held his side for up to 7 days due to his account being quite new. Ive not heard of this before so how can I check he's being truthful or not my end? I have no reason to disbelieve him right now but from being scammed via paypal in the past I am a bit cautious. He has marked it as follows:

Track your delivery

No Shipment Tracking

19 October 2017,

Marked as sent

Status: COMPLETED

Hi Manson,

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

If the payment is marked as complete on your side it means that the money has cleared to the seller and they should now send the item. It is possible that they have a hold due to being a new seller and you can find more information on this here.  Even if that is the case we would expect the seller to send your item without waiting for the money to clear.

If you do have an issue you can you can report this to us like this.
