Received money but it does not show up in recent activity and I can't spend it

I received $300 from my aunt to make some shopping for her and although the money has shown up in my account every time I try to spend it I get an error message that says the payment cannot be made at this time.

I checked around my paypal and although the money has been added to my balance it does not show up in recent transacations, neither payments received etc. I would like to know why this is happening and how long I have to wait until I can access my funds.

You can only withdraw pounds sterling to a UK paypal account, you may need to convert the currency first.
